Anti-Slavery Policy

  1. Policy Statement

Persona Smile has zero-tolerance for slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to ensuring that there are no acts of slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or our supply chains. We are dedicated to acting ethically, with integrity and transparency in all of our business dealings and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place within the business or our supply chain.

  1. Scope

This policy applies to all persons working for Persona Smile or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, volunteers, agents, contractors, consultants, third-party representatives and business partners.

  1. Responsibility for the Policy

The board of directors has overall responsibility for ensuring that this policy complies with our legal and ethical obligations, and that all those under our control comply with it.

The prevention, detection and reporting of modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chains, whether in the UK or abroad, is the responsibility of all those working for us or under our control. All have a duty to read, understand and comply with this policy, and to avoid any activity that might lead to a breach of it.

  1. Training

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery in our business and our supply chains, we provide training to our staff. We also require our business partners to provide relevant training to their staff, suppliers and providers.

  1. Compliance

Everyone must ensure that all activity in their area of responsibility is carried out in compliance with this policy. If anyone is unsure about whether a particular activity or relationship complies with this policy, they should seek advice from their line manager or the Compliance Team.

  1. Reporting Suspicion of Modern Slavery

Any suspicions or knowledge of modern slavery in any parts of our business or supply chains should be reported to management as soon as possible.

  1. Investigations

We are committed to ensuring transparency within the organization and in our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our supply chains. Any reported allegations are investigated thoroughly and confidentially, and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken as required.

  1. Review

This policy will be reviewed and updated annually by the board of directors.

This Anti-Slavery Policy is in line with the Modern Slavery Act of 2015 and demonstrates our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. It also underlines our intention to implement and enforce effective systems and controls to eliminate, as far as possible, the risk of slavery and human trafficking taking place anywhere in our business or supply chains.
