How Much Is a Full Set of Veneers in Turkey?

There is no fixed price for a "full set" of veneers, in Turkey or anywhere else, because there is no fixed number of teeth in a set. Veneers are priced per tooth, so the total depends on how many of your teeth show when you smile and how many actually need changing. How veneers are priced

Each veneer is made individually in the lab and bonded to one tooth, so the price is per tooth. On our dental price list an E-max veneer is €230 per tooth. The total for your case is that figure multiplied by the number of teeth being veneered, plus any other treatment your plan includes, each as its own line.

Ours are made from IPS e.max, a lithium disilicate glass-ceramic from Ivoclar, milled and then finished by hand at OGN Dental Studio, the lab in our building. Our price list also has an E-max thin lumineer at €320 per tooth, an extra-thin veneer that needs little or no reshaping where the tooth's position and colour allow it, and a composite veneer at €100 per tooth, built up in the chair. The dentist will tell you which suits each tooth, and why.

How many veneers is a "full set"?

When people say a full set, they usually mean the teeth that show when they smile broadly. How many that is varies a great deal from person to person:

• A narrow smile may show six to eight upper teeth: the front four and the canines, and perhaps the first premolars.
• A broad smile may show ten or more upper teeth, reaching back to the second premolars.
• The lower teeth show much less in most people, and are often left alone, or treated with whitening so they match.

So the number that matters is not a standard set but your own smile. The dentist works it out from photographs of your face smiling fully, and from what you want to change. Some people need two or four veneers to fix a few chipped or uneven front teeth; others choose a fuller set across the upper teeth, and sometimes the lower as well.

More veneers is not always better. Every veneered tooth usually loses some enamel, which does not grow back, and will need a veneer or another restoration for life. A good plan treats the teeth that need changing and leaves healthy teeth that already look right alone. If your other teeth only need to be lighter, teeth whitening first, then veneers matched to the new shade, can mean fewer veneers.

What else can add to the total

The veneers are often only part of the plan. Depending on what the examination shows, your written plan may also include:

• Crowns on teeth that are broken, heavily filled or root-treated, where a veneer would not protect the tooth. See crowns; a zirconia crown is €170 and an E-max crown €190 per tooth.
• Whitening of the teeth that are not being veneered, laser whitening at €250 per treatment, with a professional cleaning included.
• Gum contouring to even out the gum line so the veneers sit in an even frame, at €50 per tooth. See gum contouring.
• Fillings or root canal treatment for problems that need fixing before anything cosmetic is done.
• A night guard, at €50, if you grind or clench, to protect the porcelain.

Comparing quotes from different clinics

Quotes for veneers vary widely, and the cheapest is not always what it seems. When you compare, check that like is being compared with like:

• Veneers or crowns? Some of the worst reported "Turkey teeth" cases involved healthy teeth cut down for full crowns when the patient believed they were getting veneers. Your plan should say, tooth by tooth, which each will get. Our guide to caps vs veneers explains the difference.
• Which material, and whose? Ask for the brand and product in writing. "Porcelain", "E-max" and "zirconium veneers" can mean very different things.
• How many teeth? A low price per tooth across more teeth than you need is not a saving.
• What is included? The examination, X-rays, temporary veneers, the try-in and any adjustments should be clear before you book.
• Who treats you, and what happens later? Ask which dentist will treat you and what aftercare is offered once you are home.

How long you need in Antalya

On our price list veneers are a single visit. For most veneer cases, including a fuller set, we suggest allowing about a week in Antalya:

1. Examination and design. The dentist examines your teeth and gums, takes X-rays and scans your teeth. Your new smile is planned with Digital Smile Design, and you agree the design and the written plan.
2. Preparation. Under local anaesthetic the teeth are prepared as the plan sets out, and temporary veneers are usually fitted.
3. Lab days. The veneers are designed, milled and finished by hand in our lab while you are free to enjoy Antalya.
4. Try-in and bonding. You see the veneers in your mouth before anything is fixed, and changes go back to the lab while you are still here.

If gum surgery or straightening is needed first, the veneers are usually made on a later trip. Your written plan confirms the days for your own case; treat these as typical, not promised.

Making a full set last

The cost of veneers is not only the day they are fitted. Porcelain can chip, the edges need keeping clean, and at some point every veneer will need replacing. How long yours last depends on your bite, your habits and your care at home, and no one can promise a lifespan.
